#F1 Could Canada learn from Bahrain?

Just reading this quote from the Canadian GP organisers:

“Following a serious examination of the situation, made necessary by public disruption threats and the difficulty to measure their precise validity, the organisers came to the conclusion that it is necessary to restrain the access to Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve and precisely the F1 pitlane, on the day preceding the first sessions on track.”

You almost get the feeling that Ron Dennis helped draft that one. Or has it just lost something in the translation from the French?

Whatever the stilted use of English, they are saying that the fans will loose out on an opportunity to get up close and personal with the cars as a result of threats of public unrest. Maybe the Canadian orgainisers could take some lessons from Bahrain here?
